2018-08-01 · The only known etiologic factor in cervical intraepithelial lesions is infection with human papilloma virus (HPV). Treatment of HPV infection is based on the results of a colposcopy-guided cervical biopsy. This may be excisional (cone biopsy) or ablative (cervical laser vaporization, cryocoagulation, electrocoagulation, or cryotherapy).

Arch Dermatol Res As for the HPV test results 6 months after treatment with CO 2 laser vaporization, the variables age, parity, HPV type, and use of barrier contraception showed a statistically significant relationship: patients older than 45 years had a 4-fold higher risk of persistent HPV infection after treatment, while the risk in multiparous patients was 6 times higher than in nulliparous and carriers of HPV types 16 and 18, and had a 3-fold higher risk than carriers of other types. The cure rates for both cryotherapy and laser in our treatment groups were significantly higher than the spontaneous regression rate (p < 0.001), suggesting that treatment by either cryotherapy or CO 2,‐laser vaporization significantly changes the natural history of genital HPV infections.

The women's study follow … Laser ablation or photoablation is the process of removing material from a solid (or occasionally liquid) surface by irradiating it with a laser beam. At low laser flux, the material is heated by the absorbed laser energy and evaporates or sublimates. At high laser flux, the material is typically converted to a plasma.Usually, laser ablation refers to removing material with a pulsed laser, but Genital lesions are a relatively common condition which may be caused either by sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, as a Treatment of genital lesions with diode laser vaporization | springermedizin.de Prognostic outcomes and risk factors for recurrence after laser vaporization for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia: a single-center retrospective study Keisuke Kodama, Hideaki Yahata , Okugawa Kaoru , Hiroshi Tomonobe, Nobuko Yasutake, Sachiko Yoshida, Hiroshi Yagi , Masafumi Yasunaga , Tatsuhiro Ogami , Ichiro Onoyama , Kazuo Asanoma , Emiko Hori, Mototsugu Shimokawa, Kiyoko Kato HPV y Cirugía Láser.

She has serious concerns about our becoming intimate, for fear of giving me these strains of HPV, particularly with my compromised immune system.

In a randomized study, we have evaluated the treatment of cervical human papillomavirus (HPV) lesions by CO2 laser vaporization. Fifty patients with abnormal Papanicolaou smears and histological evidence of cervical HPV infection associated or not with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) grade I were randomized to either a treatment or a control group.

Treatment of HPV infection is based on the results of a colposcopy-guided cervical biopsy. This may be excisional (cone biopsy) or ablative (cervical laser vaporization, cryocoagulation, electrocoagulation, or cryotherapy). Conclusions: A higher degree of expertise and experience from the colposcopist and long-term follow-up proves the effectiveness of laser vaporization in the management of CIN in young women. It has been suggested that HPV infection alone may not be sufficient to promote carcinogenesis and that other cofactors could be involved.
Numerous studies have shown contradictory variable percentages of recurrent HPV lesions, after various therapies. The present study therefore evaluates the effectiveness of CO 2 laser vaporization in the treatment of single-site HPV lesions of the lower female genital tract in order to confirm the conviction that physical therapy alone, in agreement with some findings reported in the CO2 laser vaporization in the treatment of cervical human papillomavirus infection in women with abnormal Papanicolaou smears.
