7 Nov 2020 Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, dozens of Israeli kibbutzim - a type of cooperative agricultural community - have barred entry to non-residents.

Volunteers have lots of parties, go on trips around Israel, spend a lot of time in the kibbutz pub and generally let their hair down during the times when they are not working. There are romances too between volunteers, and also with the kibbutz members on some occasions.

Of course it’s not all work! We only accept volunteers that come through the Kibbutz Program Center (KPC). Through them you will receive your volunteer visa and medical insurance. Once we have established a connection and agreed on arrival the process can begin. The kibbutz population accepts volunteers for a minimum period of two (2) months and a maximum of six (6) months. It is, of course, preferred you complete your agreed volunteer period.
